Are you on the path to developing a web or mobile app? Whether you're starting from scratch with an MVP or ready to evolve your existing MVP into something greater and long-term, finding the right product development partner is the first and most important step. And that's where Atolye15 comes in!

Diving into a new project raises many questions about building the ideal team, the development process, and pricing. We know, because we get those questions a lot! So, we thought, why not put together this blog post to clear up these common curiosities? This way, when we do get to chat, we can cut straight to the chase and focus on what your project specifically needs. So, let’s get to it!

Our Product Development Approach

Let's get one thing straight – we're more than just coders! We're in the business of solving problems. Whenever a new project comes our way, our first move isn't to dive headfirst into the code. Instead, we take a step back and think about what the project really needs and the challenges it aims to overcome. That's why our approach is never a cookie-cutter solution.

Sure, we've got our favorite tech tools like GraphQL, TypeScript, Node.js, and React, but we're big believers in the idea that every project has its own unique tech recipe. So, if you're looking for a quick "What tech should I use?" answer, you might be a little disappointed. We prefer to get up close and personal with your project, giving it the deep dive it deserves before making any tech calls.

When developing a product, we don't just focus on the technical aspects; our goal is to do what's best for your product in every way. We're talking about creating something that doesn't just function well but also delivers significant business value. We build a dedicated team for each project, with teammates who genuinely care and get excited about the project. This way, many projects naturally evolve into long-term partnerships, and that’s where we truly shine. If you're curious about how we roll with long-term partnerships, check out the video down below or this case study for a deeper dive.

Building the Ideal Team

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all team! Instead, we prefer getting to know your project inside and out – what you’re aiming to achieve, your desired timelines, and all the little details. Based on that info, we tailor-make the dream team just for you. So, no, you won’t find a standard team lineup here. If you want to see what your project’s team would look like, just hit up our Contact Us page with a detailed brief and we’ll be in touch with you shortly!

But if you’re still wondering what a typical product development team at Atolye15 looks like, we can say that it usually includes roles like Scrum Master, Tech Lead, Backend and Frontend Developers, DevOps, UI/UX Designer, and Illustrator, among others. However, it's important to note that the composition is entirely project-dependent. One constant, though, is our commitment to agility – every team runs 2-week sprints following Scrum methodology, ensuring we stay on track and adaptable. Up next, let's explore how these teams operate to bring your project to life.

Project Management and Workflows

After putting together a dedicated team for your project, we dive into action using the Agile methodology within Scrum frameworks, which includes two-week sprints. These sprints lead to well-tested solutions designed with maintainability and scalability in mind. To ensure everything runs smoothly and transparently, we keep the lines of communication wide open. This means regular catch-ups and staying connected through tools like Slack and Jira, along with detailed demos after each Sprint Review.

We're all about keeping things crystal clear with recurring Scrum events like Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives to maintain 100% transparency from start to finish.

Our expertise doesn’t stop there; we’re well-versed in a variety of project management and product development methodologies, including Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Design, and Behavior-Driven Development. For those curious for more details on these methodologies, check out our in-depth blog post dedicated to these subjects.

Project Pricing Process

When it comes to putting together the pricing for your project, we start by diving deep into the specifics you’ve provided. Our Project Managers and Tech Leads come together, and decide on the ideal team composition and how long it will take the team to complete the work. Then we draft up a proposal that lays out the team setup, the project timeline, and of course, the pricing.

This proposal breaks down the roles of each team member, the number of people we envision for your project, and their man/day rates. Our pricing is based on these rates and calculated per sprint. We determine the final pricing by estimating the total number of sprints required for project completion.

To put it short, there’s no fixed price! It all depends on the project's scope, the team needed, and how many sprints we're looking at. So, please allow us to review your project fully before requesting a rough estimate from us.
